Dwayne Morgan is a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion. He began his career as a spoken word artist in 1993. In 1994, he founded Up From The Roots entertainment, to promote the positive artistic contributions of African Canadian and urban influenced artists.
Cam Scholey is the author of the memoir "This Happy Home." A lifelong facilitator, Cam believes strongly in Compassionate Listening and travels regularly to inspire people to heal, develop, and move forward in their lives.
Michelle Richards-Graham writes bold and unapologetic young adult stories about first love, complicated friendships, broken homes, abuse, and the difficult decisions to be made in the middle of it all.
Abigail Grimes is a Canadian multi-genre author of fiction and poetry. Abigail’s work centres relatable yet flawed women. She is the author of the poetry and prose collection “For The Quiet” and is a member of the Writing Community of Durham Region.
Nikki Soliman is Métis (Anishinaabe) from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and is currently an elementary school administrator in Durham. Nikki sets out to normalize, represent, and humanize Indigenous characters in books and provide educational resources.
Erica London is a three-time published Canadian children's author, and a member of the Writers Union of Canada and CANSCAIP. Erica is also the founder of Colour Their World, a company dedicated to diversifying children’s storytelling.
As a historian and archivist, Margot Dixon maintained the archives for The Bank of Nova Scotia and researched social history for interpretive manuals, including family histories, for Upper Canada Village using primary source documents. She has presented at conferences and published articles for Living History Museums and the Costume Society of Canada.
Born in Nigeria and raised in Toronto, Felix I.D. Dimaro is an author of allegorical dark, psychological fiction often centering around morality, mental health, societal conditions, the environment, and the real-life issues he has experienced. He has released eleven books to date.
Damion’s journey into poetry began in grade 7, and he has continued to create poetry anthologies. His teacher introduced him to Charles Osgood’s poem “Pretty Good,” and its impact was profound. These experiences collectively fueled his passion for writing and shaped his poetic voice.

Roxanne Bennett unveils a heartfelt ode to immigrants with her debut children's book, "Jerk Chicken Magic." Born and raised in Jamaica, she is now based in Toronto, Ontario — she is a mama, wife, and entrepreneur
Noel-Andrew Bennett has worked in visual design, TV and film for 20+ years as a creative director, writer, and key art designer. He's created and published over 30 magazines. He's now published his debut children's book "Jerk Chicken Magic."
Jumana Nikita Rahman is a self-proclaimed "fun mom" and learned to ride a bike very late in life just to prove to her son she could. Though she doesn't take herself too seriously, she prioritizes sharing her Bangladeshi-Canadian upbringing with the next generation of third culture kids. Jumana lives with her husband and son in Ajax, Ontario.
