CNIB and CELA Collections

With support from the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA), borrow a DAISY reader or DAISY audiobooks, specifically designed for people with low vision or vision loss.

Popular books come in large print and can support people with low vision or dyslexia, with larger text and spacing.

Audiobooks on disc work in any standard disc player and support a variety of readers.

The Library offers books (and other items!) in a variety of languages including French, Spanish, Tamil, Chinese, and more. 


Online Resources with Accessible Features!

Many of the Library's online resources offer accessible features to support reading and literacy skills. 

  • Libby: Customize how your eBook looks by changing the font size, style, and colours. Prefer audiobooks? Change the playback speed to suit your listening needs!
  • hooplaLove graphic novels? Switch to frame-by-frame viewing to guide you through comics and complex graphic novel pages. 
  • LOTE4Kids: Picture books in over 50 languages, along with English translations. 
  • Tumblebooks: Narrated and interactive picture books help with word recognition.
