The Library's NovelBranch Vending Machine, located near the north entrance at the Ajax Community Centre.

The Library has a NovelBranch Vending Machine at the Ajax Community Centre, near the north entrance! Inside you'll find popular adult, teen, and children's books to borrow anytime the ACC is open. You can also return items to the machine. All you need is your Ajax Public Library card!

How to Use

  1. Scan your Library card barcode. The NovelBranch can scan your Library card or key tag barcode, or the barcode in your Library mobile app. 
  2. The door will unlock for you to open!
  3. To return items, place them on the shelves inside the NovelBranch. It doesn't matter where you put them, but please make sure they are standing upright and spine out. 
  4. To borrow items, simply take them off the shelves! 
  5. When you are finished returning/borrowing items, close the door. Be sure to press firm enough it latches shut. 
  6. NovelBranch will scan and make note of any items that have been returned or borrowed, and display them on the screen. 
  7. You have the option of a print receipt or no receipt. If you receive email or text notifications from the Library already, you'll receive the same notifications when using NovelBranch. 

Please do not return non-book items (ex. DVDs, Library of Things items, WonderBooks, etc.) to NovelBranch.
