In this talk and Q&A, Dr. Peter Lewis, the Canada Research Chair in Trustworthy AI at Ontario Tech University, will give an introduction to the recent phenomenon of generative artificial intelligence (AI), including tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney. He will discuss 'the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' of today's AI tools and some advice in navigating the AI landscape.

He will explore aspects of trust and trustworthiness, highlighting impressive results as well as some surprising causes for concern, and ask what we can do to empower people to tell the trustworthy from the less trustworthy uses of AI tools.
