Spring into summer with the Ajax Public Library and AfriCANthology! Join us as we celebrate the creation of the pop-up Black Voices collection featured at the Main and Audley Branches throughout the month of June. Witness readings and performances from local contributors to the acclaimed anthology of some of Canada's top Black poetic talents, including A. Gregory Frankson a.k.a. Ritallin, Andrea Thompson, Dwayne Morgan, and Asante Haughton. Buy an AfriCANthology contributor's book from the Durham-based Black booksellers Notability, join us for refreshments provided by Ajax's own Patty Gyal, and check out our winning entry in the 55+ Seniors' Amateur Poetry Contest.

Event hosted in partnership with the St. Francis Centre in Pickering Village.
